Jennifer Cohen Takagishi, MD

Consistently ranked as one of the Best Doctors in America, Jennifer Cohen Takagishi, MD, excels in the field of pediatric medicine. A graduate of Wellesley College and Tufts University School of Medicine, she completed a residency at Duke University Medical Center as well as the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, England. She is currently a distinguished professor at the University of South Florida, having published extensively in such fields as the business of medicine, breast-feeding, advocacy as well as work on mentorship and foster care issues. Dr. Takagishi is also strongly committed to her community with her long-term service on the Board of United Cerebral Palsy of Tampa Bay. Dr. Takagishi honed her considerable writing skills at Manchester High School Central while a four year member of the nationally-ranked Little Green newspaper, where she was also a member of the Editorial Board. In addition, she sang in the school Chorus and was inducted into the National Honor Society, ultimately receiving the Social Studies Department Award for outstanding work for four years. Balancing her professional and personal life, Dr. Takagishi is married to Curtis Takagishi, PhD, a psychologist in Florida, where she and her husband make their home with their two daughters, Alexandra and Sabrina. For outstanding work in her specialized field, Dr. Jennifer Cohen Takagishi is a most worthy entry into the Manchester High School Hall of Fame.
