William S. Green is a 1935 graduate of Central High School and a 1939 graduate of Dartmouth College. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1947. President Emeritus and Director of Sheehan, Phinney, Bass, and Green, he served as the first deputy attorney-general of New Hampshire. He also chaired the State Board of Education. Chosen Manchester's "Citizen of the Year" in 1960, he served as chairman of the Citizen's Advisory Committee (Education) in Manchester.
